You get worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think he just doesn't like your idea cat-man. I don't really visit Chester often enough to comment on your plan though.

for once your the one not making yourself clear, what do you meen?

Firstly, Cat-man you are judging this all off a map and the size are not exact, therefore your Giant Panda exhibit is a stupid idea because you could barely fit a decent sized house there let alone an outdoor area.

Secondly, Maybe you should develop your ideas more than simple stating this here and that there. This way people may have a better understanding of what you MEAN.

While it is also your opinions I think you might want to make sure is feasible otherwise you may as well include unicorns into your plans

I think every one else has said just about every thing i mean you have no clue on the size of the areas of the zoo so everything you want to do is not possible, but cannot fault your imagination!

^ well i can give it ago. Pandas are scrapped, some deer may replace them, or maby an australian animal (yer, no auzis in the twenty20 cup)

Maybe hold off, until you have visited Chester.

Am sure you will have a completely different ideas on what you could do then.

A few changes:
Another Tsavo building is constructed. This will hold Ema, Bashira and Magadi.
The paddock which also currently houses Rhinos will be home to Eland and Topi.
The land behind the Meerkats is expanded to become a new flamingo lake- but with Greater Flamingos instead of Carribean/Chilean. They are joined in the new exhibit by Sitatunga. Gerenuk move in with the Ostrich and Sable antelope join the Zebras. The Scimitar Horned Oryx and Addax move in where I planned the Red Lechwe and Roan Antelope to be. Roan Antelope and Red Lechwe move in with Rhinos.

The old flamingo lake becomes a new exhibit for Pygmy Hippos and Campbell's Guenons.
Colobus move in with the Gorillas.

Yes, Bashira is Ema's calf. It was confirmed on 'Father's Day Adoption Offer' on the website.

Hey

I know Chester has got the 2020 Masterplan, but after a bit of free time today I had a think about what I would do if I was in charge of the decisions based on the current zoo site...

(yes, i was bored! ;) )

I'm not sure if all of these are possible (size, congestion, incompatibility etc)

- Move the congo buffalo up to the bongo paddock.
- Renovate the congo buffalo house and paddock for pygmy hippos.
- Open up the old rhino house and turn it into an Africa house containing warthogs, mongoose and aardvarks in the first two stalls and an aviary could also be built in one. Then one of the outdoor areas and part of the indoor area could be renovated for a species of baboon. (A moat and higher fence could be built outside and glass windows built inside)
- A giant anteater exhibit could be built on the lawn outside Spirit of Jaguar
- Clear the children's farm area and build a small mammal house on that land adjoining the marmot enclosure.
- Increase the number of sealions in the current pool.
- In the mongoose enclosure next to the kangaroos, replace the mongoose with wombats (would they be too big? obviously renovations need to happen) and then implement an Australian theme.

What do you think?

What would you personally like to see happen at Chester? (doesn't have to be 100% realistic, just a bit of fun:))

Jimmy

I visit chester zoo every month, probably more but i have never seen an old childrens farm, where is this, o wait, i remember, near the european birds, you cant get rid of that, my fave animals are in there (porcupines)

aswell, i cant wait for 2020 for the master plan i want it now, im not even bothered if its not built till 2020 i just want the plans

The Children's farm is the area now occupied by the enclosures for porcupine, dwarf mongoose and meerkat.

Previously it held various forms of pigs, goats etc and a good couple of years back, children used to be able to go into the main paddock (now the porcupine one I believe) and were able to stroke the domestic hoofstock in there.

The old Childrens Ffarm is the block of small mammal enclosures near the Tigers that currently house Meerkats, Mongooses and Porcupines. They were all up until recently housing ffarm animals.

Edit: Aaah, I see Jimmy got there first.

My Chester Vision:
Elephants-Would keep the same but make the house bigger and another small paddock at the back of the house so it could house another male.
Inside the Elephant house i'd house a pair of Prevost's Squirrel and have Great Indian Hornbill.
Warthog's and Mongoose-keep the same except you could view them indoor's and have aardvark's with them and also water mongoose.
I would remove Asian Plain and create a Indian Rhino breeding centre which would also house Baraghinsha(i think thats how you spell it)
In monkey islands i would remove the Sulawesi Crested macaque's and Heck's Macaque's would replace them.
Camel's and Onager-Keep them the same but bring in Dromendary.
Condor's-Keep the same but bring in a younger pair.
Make a new enclosure for the Giant Anteater's who would share their enclosure with a pair of Southern Tamandua's.
Giraffe's and Okapi-Move the Giraffe's to another part of the Zoo and Revamp for Mountain Gorilla's,And extend the Okapi facility and add another female.
Capuchin's-Move them to the South American Section near the Jaguar's.
Jaguar's-Move Coro and Benito to another collection bring in a young female Black Jaguar and move her and Pele to the waterfall section and bring in Ocelot's for the Jaguar's.
And keep everything else the same.
