Your Top 5 Primates

1. Aye-aye
2. Potto
3. Pygmy Marmoset
4. Moholi Bushbaby
5. Bornean Orangutan

HM: Hamlyn's Owl-faced Monkey, Pygmy Slow Loris, Grey Slender Loris, Sumatran Orangutan, Red Howler

Number one needed no thought whatsoever and places two to four were fairly straightforward, but the final spot was very difficult as there are so many species, as well as the three that I named as honourable mentions, that I don't want to leave out. But I concluded that such a list is incomplete without some representation of the great apes, and the orangutans are definitely my favourite out of them, with Borneans just surpassing the Sumatrans for me - their more maroon / red colour rather than orange has always felt more 'orangutan-like' to me, alrthough is probably less striking than the vibrant orange of the Sumatrans. Adore both species, though.

I know it was specified that this isn't necessary in the OP, but personally I prefer limiting myself to species that I have seen for such lists, so I have done. But as a bonus list, similar to what @Giant Eland did, here are my 'favourite' species that I have not seen, or in other words the five that I would like to see the most:

1. Bonobo
2. Tarsier (any species)
3. Indri
4. Coquerel's Sifaka
5. Douc Langur (any species)

Bonobo and sifaka are very likely, douc and tarsier might be a little bit more difficult - Indri is all but impossible, but I can dream.

Super hard to narrow it, and it might vary depending on what species I’m studying or interested in during the week, but overall I might say:
- Chimpanzee
- Orangutan
- Cotton Top Tamarin
- Golden Snub Nosed Monkey
- Gibbon

Honorable mentions go to the Western Lowland Silverback Gorilla, Ringtail Lemur, Mandrill, and Schmidt Red Tailed Monkey.

In no particular order, my list is very great-apey so I cheated a bit by not listing necessarily at species level:
-Gorilla
-Chimpanzee
-Orangutan
-Bonobo
-Golden snub-nosed monkey

Honourable mentions to chacma baboon, black-and-white colobus, gibbons, spider monkeys, woolly monkeys.

In no particular order:
  1. Chimpanzee
  2. Bornean Orangutan
  3. Western Gorilla
  4. Coquerel's Sifaka (for obvious reasons)
  5. Ring-Tailed Lemur
Honorable mentions: Mandrill, Proboscis Monkey, White-Faced Capuchin, Squirrel Monkey, Siamang

1. Red Shanked Douc Langur
2. Coquerel’s sifaka
3. Sumatran Orangutan
4. Emperor Tamarin
5. Wolf's Guenon Monkey

My kinda list!
