I've not yet visited some of the other top zoo suspects - which I could imagine getting close to my top 5 list (e.g. Chester, Vienna, Beauval, Omaha, Prague, Pilzen, Wrolcaw, Burgers,...)

Really starting to hate that I ran out of time for Pairi Daiza! Oh well, will be a must visit next time (and from the sound of it even better as they're constantly improving!)
 
I have visited 130 zoos, give or take. The best 5 so far are as follows:

1. Leipzig Zoo
2. Tierpark Berlin
3. Berlin Zoo
4. Exmoor Zoo (my local, and with so many good species, esp small carnivores)
5. Kilverstone Wildlife Park (as a youngster, South American animals was my thing, so going here in the early 90s gave me so many new species)

Honourable mentions also to Chomutov Zoo (including for the experience of the lengthy bus journey to get there from Prague), Prague Zoo itself and Highland Wildlife Park (for the setting as well as the animals).

This may well change next year, as I am planning a couple of 50th birthday trips which may well include the likes of Magdeburg, Plzen, Zlin and Duisburg.

Don't feel bad Giant Eland, I haven't been to Pairi Daiza either!:)
 
I have been to a handful in North America and a handful in Europe.

I actually wasn't sure I had been to that many so I counted and got at least 68! I've been around more than I thought I suppose.

Tried to play fair between zoos and aquariums and ended up with 2 zoos, 2 aquariums, and an aquarium that is arguably laid out more like a zoo.
 
I never been outside of Europe. The most notable zoos i haven't yet visited in Europe are Chester Zoo and Vienna Zoo
