I'll take the unusual step here of warning Forumsters against unwittingly getting involved with Zamba's (Cheetah Girl) posts,-unless they deliberately wish to of course-as they are likely to escalate into arguments which Moderators then have to stop.

Her crazy comments are not welcome here and hopefully she will soon desist if ignored.

Assuming that she/he/it creates all the accounts from the same computer and location, can't SIM block her IP number?

Unfortunately Sim seems unobtainable at present, there are several issues on this site that really need his attention now.

In the meantime, regarding Cheetah Girl/ Zamba, if we ban her she can simply re-register again and again- whereas if she is ignored and stops because of it, its a form of self- regulation.

I agree that completely ignoring this person is the best thing to do. Why get involved in replying to inane comments etc anyway. Leave the forums for those genuinely interested.

look ok, the reason i keep coming on is because i wanna be famous and i want to prove to people that i ain't weak. being the youngest zoo chatter is hard you know

Well if you want to be famous, I think zoo chat is the wrong direction for you. You are not making yourself very credible or liked with your useless ramblings or pointless threads and stupid polls. You would make yourself more credible if you sat back, absorbed the information people post and contribute accordingly within the suitable thread that the information is posted in.

zamba, let me tell you a little story

About 5 months ago, a young member found this website and got overexcited. He uploaded thousands of photos into a gallery, most blurry duplicates. During this explosion of uploading, a purge was put forth, deleting thousands of photos many members worked hours to upload and fill with info. Some members stoped uploading or even left. This member was disliked for a long time for very justifiable reasons, and though some of his credability has been regained, but he will always be associated with damaging the gallery.

This is what you're doing to the forums. If you keep posting crap that doesn't have any benefit to this website and wastes peoples time, you will be disliked just as the member in the story was. Just relax, make posts few and far betweem, quality over quantitiy, and give them proper punctuation and grammer. Thats my advice, and I hope you take it.

Thats exactly the advice I would give. Remember, anyone can view these forums not just us members so we want people to get a good impression of the site.

I couldn't have put it better myself. Unfortunately we have had many members who had to learn this the hard way. But that's life I guess.

As previously stated the site is not only viewed by just its members, but also a lot of people in the wider zoo community from all around the world. And whilst im all for people having the right to give their own opinions and thoughts I do so with them having some basis in reality or source of knowledge. Speculation is a dangerous thing especially in the Zoo community and it can jeopardise future animal imports and exports if the wrong things are speculated and said. It is great that you have enthusiasm for this site but as mentioned before spend some time having a look through the forums and see how things are laid out and how the majority of the posts are put together. Im not professing to be an expert by any means but in the last few years have got to know a little of the way the site works and the do's and don'ts of the site and the zoo community. I have had the great pleasure of making some great connections and friendships due to this site and have increased my knowledge immensely over that time.

What im trying to say is the site is a great tool both for sharing information or thoughts and for increasing your knowledge. But you can only do that if you treat the site and its members with respect and as stated only post if you have something constructive or useful to post.

Have to correct you there, that is becki, although she has not been active for some time. Age can sometimes make things harder, when I joined I was probably seen as rather irritating with my many threads including my somewhat bizarre ones in the zoo cafe - I was 11 at the time and perhaps not quite ready to join this wonderful community - but now, aged 13, I've learnt from my mistakes, and sure, I still make them, but not everyday and to the point I'm being called to be banned, having my posts deleted and being put on ignore lists.

Hmm, and that was fine - but that's probably about the only useful post you've made. I'll reiterate some of my 'tips for young zoochatters' which I told via Private Messaging yesterday:

- Be careful with spelling and grammar. People seem a lot less respectable and perhaps intelligent when they go around using text speak.
- Don't ever overload with questions - ask and answer the odd one. Sometimes, questions can be answered by browsing the boards.
- Avoid irritating or offending people at all costs - I've made that mistake before (in a certain thread about certain eating habits) and you will not get the best of reactions. This one especially in your case

Wow. Picking on the schoolgirl. I admit to often lacking patience with the younger members of this community, but I hardly feel this thread does any of us credit.

Youngsters should be guided and not misguided by the older members on any Forum site.
Maybe if we have a bit of patience with the younger new members coming on to this site it maybe better for the site in the future.
Has for the advice about grammer and text talk sometimes my grammer is a little aray and text talk well I give up on that one.
Everyone should have a chance even a second one in some cases. So let's ease off with the critisism and see how it goes.

So you guys are saying, that with time and patience, i will learn from my mistakes.
Oh and by the way was my gorilla post ok?

Yes your Gorilla post is fine and i made the same mistake as you creating lots of threads but i learned from my mistakes and read previous threads which answered most of my questions!

It's up to you whether you learn or not. No one on this site can try to change you. You have got to make that decision for yourself.

I would never normally create a thread about an individual poster. However this is a VERY unusual case as Cheetah Girl (now Zamba) was previously banned from this site. It is not simply a question of picking on a young member or foolish postings. Under various aliases, this person pm'd Moderators and other members with (variously) unpleasant, hostile, abusive or plain rubbish messaging and is already doing it again this time around.

I feel very strongly that she is ruining/will ruin this whole Forum if she is allowed to continue.

No i won't, plese let me stay, i promise i won't upset anyone.
i'm just a extrodinary 12 yr old girl, who hopes that she will appear in cinderella(pantomine) next year.:)
