I have started a page on Flickr for Zoo Animals 2011 this is not in competition with zoo chat as many of the people uploading thier photographs onto the page are not members of zoo chat and it is not just for Animal photographs taken this year but for all old or new photographs.

I have started it as a place where members from zoo chat can go and see other peoples photographs that are not shown on here.

The only problem I can see with doing this is that i can only put them on as they are sent to me and not in any order what so ever.

Todays uploads so far have included some images from Chessington zoo 1974 and London Zoo 1969 including Sally the Polar Bear and the tiger cage at Chessington

Please feel free to visit and leave comments on the photographs and if you have a flickr page and would like to jion the group you can pm me or send an e-mail to me.

I will try and update this with all the new uploads at least once a week so you can see what is being put on the page

Hi just an update from my flickr group thier are now over 300 members and over 1,000 photographs in the group another batch of invites will be going out shortly
Some highlights from the last week include photographs from the following zoos Tulsa, Sedgewick County, Knowsley Safari Park, Berlin Zoo, Jacksonville Zoo, Animal Kingdom, Twycross & Chester

I would lkie to highlight to flickr photostreams that may interest members on here

sorry about that I was on my to trying to find a photograph of a nile croc when I was writting the comment but again this is not in competition with zoo chat it's a flickr page where people who would normally not upload photographs of zoo animals onto this site from flickr now have some where they can upload them.
 
Latest update thier are now photographs from over 100 different collections 2,969 photographs and some are extremely beautiful images of the animals. (not bad for 5 weeks)
As I have said before this flickr page is not in competition with this site but allows members from this site to look at photographs from other people whoare not that interested in what actually goes on in zoos but are thier just for the photography and enjoy sharing thier photographs with other people.
So why not pop along and have a look I think you will be amazed at the quality of most of the photographs (it caters for all from beginners to professionals)

This is now getting very successful and it has many photographs of newly born species from around the world I know I cannot break them down in to exact zoos or wildlife parks but why not come along and have a look as many photographs in the collection never appear on zoo chat galleries or even at a mention in the forums
The latest photographs to be uploaded today onto the flickr gallery are of a young White Cheeked Gibbon born at Stone Zoo in Stoneham, Massachusetts
