Zoo/Aquarium Hot Takes

I suppose that we shall ambergris truly understand what they are trying to say :p

My hot take is that Shedd is slightly overrated, mainly due to overstocking, I’m not sure how controversial this is, but that’s me opinion. I also believe that the Small-Mammal Reptile House in LPZ is poor quality, most of the exhibitry is done very shabbily.
Shedd Aquarium is not overstocked, and no idea where you get the idea that "most" of the RSMRH is "shabby"...

What does ambergris have to do with anything here?

I've never been to Shedd in person, but from what I've seen I see no problems with their stocking.

That mention of “ambergris” sounds quite random. I don’t think it’s a pun or joke either.

Controversy!!! Also, I should have said, the tropical half was not that well done IMO. Also, as far as ambergris, that was a gift from autocorrect, which I some how did not notice, indeed I meant to say understand, though that did not workout well.

Dude, are you OK? First the IDA topic, now this. I mean this in a genuine sense.
I'm genuinely fine, frankly I've been wondering the same thing, I think my brain has been frazzled out after school. I had a bunch of testing, so I believe that my tiredness has something to do with the strange amounts of, well, strangeness in my posts recently.
How? The two words aren't even close!
No idea, I was just as confused as you when I saw it.

Apologies for the weirdness on my recent, posts, I think I should get a good nights sleep tonight.

I don’t see how it’s overrated because it has too many species unless the habitats aren’t adequate. Now I haven’t visited Shedd but I’ve always heard pretty good things about it and I don’t think any of their habitats are bad or unsuitable for its inhabitants.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, check your posts for spelling and grammar mistakes before hitting the post button, it's really worth it. If you had listened to us earlier, you wouldn't constantly be posting things with random errors and confusing people like in this instance ;)

You're right that the theming of the tropical hall in the RSMRH isn't that great, but shabby is quite the overstatment!

Really? Swamp the frequency of deer and turkeys and you have how often I see them.

Just because you see them every day doesn't mean the rest of the zoo-going population does, nor does that justify wanting no deer representation over representation by giving unreleasable native animals a permanent home in an educational setting.

Fallow Deer in US zoos are practically domestic animals at this point, and serve less of an educational purpose than White-Tailed Deer.

White-Tailed Deer are super common for you, but Mule Deer are super common for someone else. You don't despise one because you don't have the other and I'd be willing to bet that if you lived somewhere where it was Mule Deer you saw this frequently you'd feel exactly the opposite.

I do see Whitetails semi-regularly on birding trips, specifically on the grounds of the University of Houston.

I don't know what was going on in my head when I said that Shedd was overstocked, as I was only referring to 2-3 tanks  I slept well last night, so my brain is functioning today.

You can’t just say the entire aquarium is overstocked based on just 2-3 tanks, lol. But I digress… Also, I’m wondering what happened to “shutting up for a bit”, it hasn’t even been a full 24 hours since you said this (and mysteriously deleted the post) ;):p

Anyways, I hope resting last night will keep *eventful* days like yesterday from happening again :p

I deleted it as I didn't want to derail the thread any further from its original purpose. I'm fine now, so no shutting up (unfortunately for you :p), I will be more sensible in my posts now.

Given you said this earlier using yourself as reference even if you weren't calling yourself either,
then he was either very blind or very stupid, knowing teens (me being one), probably the latter.
Your comment seems a bit of an April Fool's joke in of itself.

More like unfortunately for all of us, sorry if that's harsh but less talking and more thinking on your part might start improving our opinion of you for a lot of us.
