Ananda and Yoe Ma, the two twelve years old bull elephants kept in Maubeuge will go in the next months to La Tannière in a more suitable exhibit. They will join Rajendra, a nine years old bull elephant from Kolner Zoo.
Maubeuge will receive two new younger bulls in the future.
 
Some interesting news from Maubeuge :
- a new canid species will arrive later this year (the species has not been choosen for the moment).
- a group of six ring-tailed lemurs will arrive and be housed in part of the giraffe house. It's a come back for this species.
- the zoo is preparing Ananda, male asian elephant for a departure at the end of the end. The future location was not specified but they hope a breeding facility for him. His half-brother, Yoe Ma, may leave too.
- the giraffe house which burned don in 2005 get some refurbishments and a medical training wall.
- a new veterinary clinic and quarantine area will be build in the late weeks.
