I was pretty surprised there wasn't a recent thread dedicated to this zoo, which seems pretty interesting.

There aren't many informations about its future.
We know that the next development is going to be a new African area, which will host giraffes, antelopes, zebras and ostriches (not very original).

This year the zoo makes fifty years and in an article about it I read about that exhibit.

Any news on this now and what species the new Savannah holds or should hold?

Does anyone know if Zoo di Pistoia still has South American sea lions? The information on ZTL is a bit outdated and I can't find any recent information. The species is also not mentioned on their website.
