Zoo displays that made "boring" animals interesting

What zoo display/enclosure made you interested in an animal that you otherwise wouldn't have cared about?

I have been thinking quite a bit about the role of zoos and animal displays in getting people (especially the younger generation) interested in biodiversity and the environment. I'm especially interested in how zoos highlight animals that may appear dull, uncharismatic and not too recognisable

The indoor vivariums and paludariums of Museum Komodo at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah definitely helped in getting a lot of people interested with the herps there, especially with the park encouraging guest to find the reptiles and amphibians inside the exhibit. During my visits, a family actually got quite excited seeing the earless monitor (Which funnily enough the dad helped me found it) and even the local frogs, so I guess it have a impact.

As a General Volunteer at the Los Angeles Zoo, there are plenty of common, lesser-known, obscure, and unheard animals like Gerenuks, Babirusas, Visayan Warty Pigs, most of the small birds, Binturongs, and the Reptiles and Amphibians of the Lair alongside the Local Native Animals like the Birds, Insects, and Ground Squirrels since the Zoo is part of Griffith Park. I would explain and point out to those Animals and tell the facts that would sound very interesting to the Visitors from the animals' names, behavior, and conservation status. I get a positive response from them, especially the Kids.
