Some facilities received non-breeding groups, also, Leipzig breeds them in very specific conditions which other zoos probably won't replicate, so well see what the success will be...
 
I am hoping they are going to decide to send the offspring to Australia for release into the wild.

Australia has some crazy quarantine laws that pretty much make it impossible with such a short-lived animal right?

Frankfurt at least seems to have bred them successfully from time to time, according to ZTL, the newest offspring are 4 young in 2021.
 
At the start of this month 8-year old male Northern koala (Phascolarctos cinereus cinereus) Oobi Ooobi passed away.

On the first of September 3-year old female Rothschild's giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis rothschildi) Tamika arrived from Zoo Aalborg.

More sad news, a few days ago male Western common chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes verus) Robert drowned
