Chester Zoo Zoo map 2011

I wasn't getting at you, sorry if you think that. My point was the lack of gardens in the zoo.

Noo totally with you on the humour side Rob, don't worry :)

I thought the zoo had lots of gardens myself - I know they stopped refilling some if not all of the flower beds but there are still lots of garden type places I think.
Even if they don't do a map cover to celebrate it :D

I am wondering if any of you have any of the pocket sized maps spare as my niece is going barmy she as the following 4 only

Elephant
Chimp
Giraffe
Rhino

If anyone can help please p/m me asap

I can't think of anywhere more appropriate than this thread for what I'm about to post. I was just looking on the Chester Zoo website for some information (opening times and what not) and I noticed that on the left of the screen where there is a link for their interactive map with a small map of Houston Zoo. I was just wondering if anyone knew why. It seems a bit odd is all.

Not noticed that before - the interactive map works by sections and I assumed that was just one of the sections. Weird! Stock image for 'zoo map' I guess.

If you're looking at the interactive map be aware it's slightly out-of-date - it doesn't include the African Wild Dogs for example. The current map* (if you can bear to look at it...) is in the gallery. :)

*also slightly out of date now, as the anteaters have moved for one...

Well I'm planning on visiting tomorrow so thanks for the advice. I recognised it straight away. I've never even been to Houston Zoo.
I think I'll probably just camp out in front of the okapi exhibit for most of the day. If they are off exhibit for painting or whatever than you can expect to see a hostage situation at the zoo on the news tomorrow night. After what happened at London Zoo I'm determined to get even the smallest glimpse of one. I think spectacled bears and giant aneaters will be a couple more of the highlights if I get to see them.

Spectacled Bears - if you dont see them first time, try around 3.30pm-4pm. Usually a good time.

Okapis have indoor viewing on one stall so you shouldn't have too much trouble there. :)

I just realized I wrote giant aneaters (how embarrassing!). Firstly I meant giant otters and secondly I couldn't even get the spelling right with the help of spellchecker.
Thanks again for the advice :) And that's good to know about the okapis.

I would like to thank everyone for helping my neice out with the maps. she now as the following

Elephant
Chimp
Giraffe
Rhino
Chimpanzee
Meerkat
Tiger

Again I would like to thank everyone and if you find anymore she would be extremely gratefull

Thank you
