Can anyone advise me of any British zoos that have members nights with guest speakers etc?

Chester have regular monthly meetings for members; sometimes the speaker is one of the zoo staff, particularly if they have recently returned from working on one of the zoo's projects overseas, sometimes the speaker is from 'outside'.

Thanks both of you for your assistance.

Twycross have started having guest speaker evenings. There is a small fee, but the quality of the first 2 speakers was excellent - John Lewis speaking about Amur Leopard conservation and reintroduction, and sharon red robe talking about gorillas.

The next one is on the 29th and it's renaud fulconis of Awleys talking about their green cap education project in the drc.

Edinburgh have regular members meetings and events, similar to the above ones a mixture of keeper talks/tours and external talks from researchers, conservationists etc. Next one is a panda and carnivore talk: Panda and Carnivore Talk

Flora and Fauna International (FFI) meetings are held in Chester zoo's lecture theatre. They have some excellent speakers; often internationally recognised experts in their fields. The evening also involves a very good buffet.
