On the main Zoochat page there is a small 'Zoo News' section with rolling reports and updates about Zoo happenings. Is there any reason why these are nearly always from the USA? Occasionally there is something from Europe but only rarely.

Its a good way of conveying news but for Europe based Chatters, not very topical.

If you mean the same small Zoo News section as the one I guess you mean I have to tell you that this is prop. country-depending. Here in the Netherlands we get mainly Dutch and Belgium news and only occasionaly zoo-news from other countries.

@VC, it depends here at university I get US zoo news, but that is probably because the default language in my browser is english...

It just uses a widget from Google News - which I think does tend to be very US-centric.

I admit that I haven't looked at that widget or the settings since I set it up years ago - I don't know if it can be optimised in any way.
