Surabaya Zoo Zoo news

Mark and Chlidonias,

I remember reading that the Surabaya Zoo was due to sent out some proboscis monkeys elsewhere on breeding loan elsewhere (pretty sure not Singapore or to Kalimantan).

Singapore (OH YES, YES, YES!!!!) I took some brilliant pictures of proboscis over there. I think they had about a group of 6-8 in the breeding unit and some 4-6 in the bachelor group. Shame Zooish was not around at the time!

Another facility that currently might maintain proboscis monkeys is Lok Kawi Wildlife Park on Kalimantan in the Malaysian state of Sabah.
