Zoo playgrounds

is there a trend going around zoo that they are putting in more novelty ways of entertaining guests, e.g golf at Dudley/Chester, Zooropia Splash Zone at Bristol. I would much prefer the other ways to entertain guests like feeds/talks, feeding certain animals such as lorikeet, giraffes etc...

Would you also add to this the amount of adventure playgrounds in some zoos, and dinosaur dig (Dudley/Howletts (i think) where you have to pay and you uncover plaster of Paris fossil.

Im happy to hear people opinions on this subject.
