I've just come across this new book of old postcards from British zoos (and Dublin) - lots of old (mostly pre-war) images from London, Bristol, Dudley and Chester plus closed zoos like Belle Vue and Halifax and little-known places like Grimsby and Stoke-sub-Hamdon.
There's about 200 postcards. All in colour, slightly under 100% in size. I suppose they could be cut out but it seems a shame to destroy such a nice book. For more information see: Antiquexplorer - Books - The Golden Age of Zoo Postcards
I just got this book at the weekend. Its an excellent little publication containing some superb images. I would recomend it highly to anyone with an interest in zoo history, zoo ephemera and, just as importantly, our cultural heritage.
