Zoo tallies for each state

@snowleopard is going to be the undisputed winner. For what it's worth, here is my count (and in my opinion it is pointless for people to list the states they have zero for their total). This is my count as an adult (assuming I don't miscount as I copy from my list that is organized alphabetically and not by state or country). I am sure there are others (some closed) that I visited as a child. Some in my adult total are also now closed.

Florida - 6 (Zoo Tampa, Bush Gardens Tampa, Palm Beech Zoo, Lion Country Safari, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Tarpon Springs Aquarium)
Illinois - 8 (Brookfield Zoo, Lincoln Park Zoo, Cosley Zoo, Phillips Park Zoo, Summerfield Zoo, Willobrook Wildlife Center, Shedd Aquarium, Serpent Safari - Now Closed)
Wisconsin - 3 (Milwaukee County Zoo, Racine Zoo, Henry Vilas Zoo)

I hope to add Zoo Miami, McCarthy Wildlife Sanctuary and South Florida Science Center and Aquarium next month. Then by the years end I hope to ad 3 Texas facilities in the form of Dallas, Fort Worth and Dallas World Aquarium

Are we counting the amphibian display at Atlanta Botanical Gardens as a zoo? (I do for my lists)

Counting that I've been to 3 for Georgia (I'm sure you can guess the other two ;) ).

Also saw a few of the exotic animal displays in Vegas but didn't actually go in anywhere (only saw the road-/mall-side bits) so have never counted them. Penguins and tigers, among others, though - so we're not talking pets here.

What a great list, although I would like to make two small changes. My Minnesota total can go up one to 11 and my South Dakota total can also go up one to 5. I just visited two new zoos on Tuesday (Zollman Zoo and Butterfly House & Aquarium) and those boosted my numbers. I also toured Great Plains Zoo that same day but I'd been there before and so it doesn't count.
