Hi Glyn actually the exhibit will not be open till around xmas day. They will also be breeding hunting dogs at werribee. and they have aproval to do this.

. When I asked how much admission should be I was told, after some thought, "about the same as a movie ticket." I pointed out that it was rather unrealistic, as it costs a lot more to maintain hundreds of animals than it does to show a movie.
It has to be said Sydney zoo is way above average price for a city zoo. As is being discussed elsewhere here.
How they get away with it l don't know!
It is now more than ever going to become a place only visited by the "rich".
I wonder if they lowered the price. It would actually increase income as it would be more accessible to more.
Taronga doesn't need more visitors, though. They're the best attended zoo in Australia, I'd imagine, and increasing attendance much more would put the property under a fair bit of strain.
Why does the exhibit at Taronga currently only have 1 bird on display?
I remember 1 being trained for the QBE Bird Show but what happened?
