Zoo World Cup

With the world cup upon us shortly I have an idea that could be fun to do.
As the countries concerned in the world cup come from all sides of the world why not have a World Cup for Zoos (WCZ)
The rules are as follows

1 - Zoo/Park you nominate must be in a country that is in the world cup

2 - It has to have at least 25% of it's infabitants from it's own country

3 - It can be a large collection or small

4 - No private collections

5 - You must give a reason for your entry

6 - The zoo with the most nominations wins

7 - If there happens to be a draw I will choose the winner

8 - No prizes this is for our enjoyment and to see what people think of zoos from around the world all in one thread

Happy threading and I'd love to read your replies

This is a rule that I have put in to take in to account the native animals of the original country the zoo is situataded within
ie England therefore must have at least 25% of native animals to that country.
They maybe still native to that country or were native to that country but are now extinct within that countries boundries.

Hope this helps

There arent many UK zoo's with 25% British species but will have a think and nominate tomorow!

Scotland is not in the World Cup, but then I would like to nominate the Gaiapark for Netherlands

I'd normally nominate the Bronx for the US, as it's my favorite zoo. Based on the 25% rule, I'd have to go with Columbus. They have the best North American section I've ever seen. I don't know if Seattle has the percentage, but they do have some great exhibits for North American animals as well.
