I've got two Berber skinks, a Russian steppe tortoise and three Maine Coon cats.

I would love to live on a farm, so may have exotic animals, such as camel , alpaca, Emu, Rhea, Ostrish and more, maybe build a small zoo?

do you need a licence to keep harvest mice in the UK (given that they are a native species)?

I have 1 dog, no certain breed, a rescue dog but soft as a brush, 2 chinchillas, 2 guinea pigs & a whole bunch of goldfish.

What an amazing selection of pets and I thought we had quite a lot.

We have 3 Blue and Gold Macaws and four indoor medium haired domestic cats. We also have 3 outdoor cats which were either ferel or have adopted us. Two of the outdoor cats are the mothers of the indoor cats and were neutered after having the kittens which they were expecting when they adopted us.

As you will see we live in Canada so we have heated houses for them with plastic protecting the doors to keep the snow and wind out. Two are 10 and one is 12 years old now and are very smart where the weather is concerned and wild animals. Tonight it is to be -25C they will have their late night snack on their porches and maybe go for a drink from the heated water bowl before going to bed. If we leave food out it is not unusual to see a raccoon at this time of the year, or a skunk or Opossum in the warmer weather helping themselves within inches of them. :)
Our cats and two of the macaws.

A lot of people say they wish they lived on a farm. I have the best of both worlds as I am a tour guide volunteer at WindReach Farm, designed for people with special needs but many of our 20,000 visitors a year are able bodied.

Sad to say, i only have a bog-standard dog :p but where I live, there isn't much room for more.

However, one day, if/when I have a bigger house and a few acres of land, i hope to build a menagerie including animals like (though this isn't the whole list) alpacas, cockatoos, pythons, chameleons, axotl and, hopefully, a couple of sugar gliders if there is room for a big aviary :D

My dream pets would be a couple of broken in water buffalo that I could ride, some hog deer and a couple of mandarin ducks. Plus my galah of course (it'll probably outlive me.)

I don´t have any pets, but in my youth my boy´s room was filled with fish tanks. Loved that hobby!

Now, as an older man, in my spare time I take care of other people´s dogs, when their owners need a break, go on vacation etc. I have three fantastic friends who visit me regularily: one wonderful big male Leonberger ("Is that a bear or a dog", people ask...) and two equally wonderful German Shepherds: an old male and young female. I spoil them to death, we spend endless hours in the city parks, have lots of fun and at night they sleep content and exhausted in my bed.

Dogs are great..............
