As for my pets!

1 female Leoprd Gecko - 16 month old Charlie!
1 Rabbit - 9 year old Benji
1 Budgie - 5 year old Billy
I dont know how many various fish in my 125 L aquarium :p
27 baby kribensis in another tank to be sold soon!!

And i want chickens!!!
:D

I have...
- 2 pygmy goats - great pets!
-white call ducks
-various other breeds of poultry including magpie ducks and buff-laced wyandotte bantams

I would love some gloucester old spot pigs, alpacas, belted galloway cows, soay sheep, yellow and golden pheasants.... the list goes on!..:).

I have a new one! Little tiny leopard gecko, un-named as I'm not certain of it's sex, pretty sure it's a boy though. Really unusual looking colour morph, not sure how common it is but he's pretty much entirely pink. Great looking little guy, considering breeding from him in the future.

Three Syrian hamsters
1 male (Dude) and 2 females (Pip and Mercedes)
Mercedes is named after Edinburgh Zoo's polar bear. I've only had Mercedes for 3 weeks now. I had to have another hamster (Trillian) put down after she suffered a severly prolapsed bowle.

Two Russian dwarves (By-Tor and Snowdog) My first two dwarves (Max and Paddy) were rescues. Paddy had to be put to sleep after severe complications caused through diabetes. Max died 4 weeks later in his sleep.

There are a whole range of other animals I would love to keep as pets but my living circumstances would have to change dramatically! They include chinchillas, guinea pigs, degu's and Alaskan malamutes

lovebirds 30+
cockatiels
galahs
quail
lorikeet
rabbit
guinea pig
dog
cat
budgies
spiny leaf insect

coming soon.......
childrens python
bearded dragon
blue tongue
shingleback
cunningham's skink

I have two alpaca's; Luke and Winton
A galah called albert
A labrador called Lolly
A tank with gourami's and angel fish
Two lovebirds
And a couple of silky bantams

My list has changed quite a bit in the year or so since I posted this...

I still have the alpacas, albert, lolly and the silky bantams but the angel fish and gourami's have moved to my grandads house so I could get a Murray Cod and the love birds escaped when I went away and trusted my mum to feed them. Now Albert has their aviary and I sold his. New additions are:-

The Murray cod called trousers
A stick insect called Myf
2 fantail doves (We did have 4 of them and they were free range but a hawk picked off two so now they live in the chook shed and we let them out under supervision.)
And right now some frog spawn that I scooped out of our failed fish pond. :)

My dream pets would be a couple of broken in water buffalo that I could ride, some hog deer and a couple of mandarin ducks. Plus my galah of course (it'll probably outlive me.)

i don't see why water buffalo and camels are not easy to come by considering there are wild populations living in australia.

yeah but then again 6 of my friends that I talk to on msn and facebook that are from overseas think everyone over here has a pet Kangaroo!!

one of my teachers had an exchange student from America in her house and was expecting people jumping on crocs, riding roos etc.:D

with all due respect to steve irwin and paul hogan (aka croc dundee) i think they encouraged this stereotypical behaviour.

It's more of a case of my parents not letting me so I'll just have to wait. :)

yeah well, belgium is the capital of europe and all dutchmen smoke pot while walking on wooden shoes. (to name a few european stereotypes)

either way, back on topic.

3 species have completed the ranks here (and more importantly, they stay!)

a pair of blacktailed ratsnakes (elaphe janseni)
a pair of kingsville red gophersnakes (pituophis mel. sayi)
a panter chameleon (furcifer pardalis)

You mean you don't!?!?! My world perception is crumbling! :p

I've had a rabbit and a few guineas in the past.....

Only got some goldfish in the garden pond at the moment, but i'd like either an axalotl or praying mantis..... Shame my mum isn't to keen on these ideas!

Oh wow!! Just read through this whole thread and I'm gobsmacked at some of the amazing interesting pets you all have. I now feel very boring
In our house we have a 3yr old cocker spaniel, a cat and some goldfish. I also have 6 rats that are mine and no one else's :D In the past we've had the usual childhood pets, hamsters, mice, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pig. My brother kept a leopard gecko and a leaf insect when he was younger. I don't live with my dad, but he likes keeping birds and he once had a tarantula  Very beautiful, but I still liked to keep my distance :D

In the future I'd love to keep some more exotic mammals, such as gambian pouched rats, chinchillas, sugar gliders etc. - only if I'd researched them well and it sat right with my ethics, not to mention having my own place to keep them in. Maybe one day!

lolz

1 tabby tortoise shell
5 African Giant Snails
3 Cardinial Tetras
too many Hissing Cockroaches, Sabah Spiny Stick Insects and Indian Stick Insects.

Im afraid all i have is one very wimpy cat! ;)
Parents (espicially mum) are not keen on having exotic pets!
But hes still an animal and i do love him dearly even though he is very stupid at times! :)
