Ituri,

That is my list for 2012, minus a few songbirds, raptors, and shorebirds I wasn't able to identify here in Alaska and a dozen or so seen on a trip to Hawaii.

For 2013: Common Raven, Mallard, Black-Billed Magpie, Bohemian Waxwing, and Rock Pigeon.

That makes sense. Things are probably pretty slow bird wise up there right now.

Yes. Ravens are everywhere and over the last seven years the spread of Rock Pigeons has been striking. Songbirds, Owls, and Grouse are still in the woods (I think the local birders say dedicated birders can still spot 100 species in the area through the winter). Along the ice-free Prince William Sound and Gulf of Alaska you'll spot Seabirds and Sea Ducks. It will really pickup in April and May though. I started counting last year on a whim (thank a couple marquee species, Jack Black, and the fact that I closed out my life list of free roaming North American Mammals {over 20 lbs, non-Aquatic}, with the exception of the Cats (tracks of a Bobcat in Texas though) and Bighorn Sheep, of all things). This year I hope to do better with the smaller harder to identify birds of song and shore. More forest species as well.

Alright, one month into the year. Time for a check to see where we all are.
