While organising my sightings from today, I realised the Western Corellas that I saw were new for the year too. :)

A quick Fourth of July weekend adventure in Oregon + today's trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park gave me a few more (identifiable) species. Most of the birdlife I saw in the park was too far off to identify clearly, even to take a pic to analyze later... oh well.

Too bad roadkill doesn't count, not every day you see a Red Fox or Grey Wolf on the freeway!

Lastly, at Whipsnade last week I finally saw my first UK Green Woodpecker of the year. Not new for the Big Year as I saw them in Budapest, but takes my UK bird total to 185 (323 overall).
