So I've got a big herp update to post.
To start with, the most recent update from a school trip to Kampinos National Park today:
22) Slow Worm
I was very excited to see this, though unfortunately there was much screaming and yelling at the 'poisonous snake' from other students on the trip. Sigh. I have posted a few pictures in the Poland - Wildlife Gallery
And I also have a bunch of herps that I have finally identified from my trip to Kenya in Febuary. See the Kenya - Wildlife Gallery for some more details on the identification process.
The first three species are amphibians, the rest are reptiles.
23) Hyperolius glandicolor ferniquei
24) Sclerophrys xeros
25) Ptychadena anchietae
26) Hemidactylus mabouia
27) Pelomedusa subrufa
28) Trachylepis varia
29) Lygodactylus manni
30) Agama mwanzae
I also want to note that the snake I counted from Nairobi National Park that was identified by my safari guide as a Green Mamba was actually Battersby's Green Snake, Philothamnus battersbyi. I can't be bothered looking through for the actual post, and this doesn't affect the total at all or the number of lifers, but I felt it was worth mentioning.
