I had a fantastic day in the Biesbosch recently. The waders unfortunately were too few and too distant to identify (except the easy ones like avocets, lapwings and oystercatchers). But the songbirds and gulls made up for that, along with a fantastic view of an osprey. Some inverts and a mammal were seen prior to the trip.
Birds
165. Common tern [Sterna hirundo]
166. Little gull [Hydrocoloeus minutus]
167. Cetti's warbler [Cettia cetti]
168. Mediterranean gull [Ichthyaetus melanocephalus]
169. Eurasian reed warbler [Acrocephalus scirpaceus]
170. Sedge warbler [Acrocephalus schoenobaenus]
171. Marsh warbler [Acrocephalus palustris]
172. Eurasian tree sparrow [Passer montanus]
173. (Western) osprey [Pandion haliaetus]
Mammals
12. House mouse [Mus musculus]
Invertebrates
47. Jumping spider [Pseudeuophrys lanigera]
48. Common carder bee [Bombus pascuorum]
49. Grove snail [Cepaea nemoralis]
50. Click beetle [Agrypnus murinus]
51. Green longhorn [Adela reaumurella]
52. Click beetle [Ampedus sanguineus]
53. European hornet [Vespa crabro]
54. Hoverfly [Helophilus hybridus]
55. Large red damselfly [Pyrrhosoma nymphula]
56. Common blue damselfly [Enallagma cyathigerum]
57. Land snail [Succinea putris]
58. Common scorpionfly [Panorpa communis]
59. Hairy dragonfly [Brachytron pratense]
60. Broad-bodied chaser [Libellula depressa]
For anyone who sees that the number of inverts is off, I made a identification mistake on one of the leaf beetles so that one was removed. A beetle, a frog and several molluscs await further identification.
