Glorious day yesterday in south Lincolnshire and over the border into Norfolk. One of those days where just because it's July the new additions don't reflect the quality of the wildlife in the slightest!

Additions are from Deeping Lakes, Snettisham and my regular seal spot at the mouth of the Nene (also had a quick spin at Welney that was exceptionally pleasant but not list-relevant!).

Mammals:
21. Common Seal - Phoca vitulina

Birds:
185. Glossy Ibis - Plegadis falcinellus
186. Curlew Sandpiper - Calidris ferruginea

(UK: 183)

Invertebrates:
64. Gatekeeper - Puronia tithonus
65. Small Copper - Lycaena phlaeas

:)

After a curiously long (nearly 2-year) gap in sightings, I finally spotted the most obvious fish about town yesterday, as I was on my way to town for a group outing to the escape room. After checking all the various viewpoints onto local rivers as I passed them for all that time, I was beginning to think they'd disappeared completely!

Fishes:
4. Brown Trout - Salmo trutta

:)

Thank you for clarifying, I shall not include Muscovy ducks in my list.

I think the only "tickable" Muscovy ducks in Europe are the population on the Canary Islands. Even then, I thought they were a bit dodgy (domestic plumage, very confiding) , so didn't tick/list them...

Am in Sydney for a funeral, and when walking away from the church in North Sydney I passed through a tiny park. North Sydney is an extension of the CBD with many high-rise buildings. Yet I was surprised to see a pair of brushturkeys in the trees in the park.

437. Australian brushturkey Alectura lathami
