I technically got the deer in the UK but figured I'd add it on now.

Well, you've got me beat for this year! I have one more to add from today:

Metro Richmond Zoo 9/17/16:
77. Brazilian tapir

So far, I've gotten 8 lifers this year:
Blesbok
West African bushbuck
Southern blue duiker (maybe not a lifer but I'm not sure)
Brazilian tapir
Himalayan tahr
Armenian red sheep
Mishmi takin
Western bay duiker

Also, Thylo, can you answer my question from a few posts back? I asked if species I will see at SCBI will count. I know it's got limited opening, but my argument is that it's what the National Zoo would have if the space were developed.

Sorry must have missed your question. No, any animals you see at SCBI will not count as it has a severely limited opening, only two days a year I believe. It doesn't matter if the zoo would display these species if they had the space, the fact is they don't. Sorry.

I still would be very interesting in you posting a species list for the SCBI, though, as I'm pretty unfamiliar with what they keep apart from the well-known species. Be interesting to know if they still have that Mariana Crow for instance.

I figured that was the answer, but I just wanted to double check.

Don't worry, I plan to. I think the Mariana crow is still there, and if so, I'll be spending a lot of time near its enclosure, until I get some decent shots (or waste the whole day trying!). I know they're doing minor construction right now for kiwis- three hatched recently and two will be arriving shortly from the zoo. With a (soon to be) total of eleven kiwis they will need more space. They are all outdoor habitats, though, so I doubt I'll see any.

**Not listing Night Safari's mouflon and the Zoo's giraffes, as I'm not certain what (sub)species they are. I vaguely recall something about either Singapore Zoo or Singapore Night Safari's giraffes being (at least partially) of the Angolan species. Is this correct?
