Did a very quick run-through of Antwerp zoo today. Didn't get to see all of the zoo, most of the birds that had outdoor exhibits weren't visible, and the bird house closed right as I entered, so my starting count is very low

The exibition was held at Apeldoorn and I had a really nice day there between all those feathered friends !

I open my account with a visit to Zoo Negara on January 23rd:
1. Black and White Laughing Thrush, Garrulax bicolor
This was one of only two passerines labelled at the zoo. I visited KL Bird Park a year ago and wasn't really inclined to rush back. I actually don't think the passerine collection there was particularly good either, apart from a nice mixed Bulbul aviary. It's going to be a slow start to the year for me.

If we see a bird in a walkthrough aviary that is local, and we suspect shouldn't be in there, should we count it? It is still captive and on display, so I'm inclined to, but I want to be transparent about it.
