You continue counting after each zoo. For example, you should be on 21, not six. But not even 21 is correct, you counted Tiger 3 times, Lion 2 times, and Meerkat 2 times. You can only count a species once. Therefore, you are on 18.

Last weekend Safaripark Beekse Bergen gave me the change to make my carnivore-list for this year a little longer :) :

21 ) Lion - Panthera leo ( see Lion | ZooChat )
22 ) Tiger ( Amur ) - Panthera tigris ( see Amur tiger | ZooChat )
23 ) Leopard - Panthera pardus ( see Leopard | ZooChat )
24 ) Spotted hyena - Crocuta crocuta ( see Spotted hyena | ZooChat )
25 ) African wild dog - Lycaon pictus ( see African wild dogs | ZooChat )
26 ) Zebra mongoose - Mungos mungo ( see Zebra mongoose | ZooChat )
27 ) Asian small-clawed otter - Amblonyx cinerea ( see Asian small-clawed otters | ZooChat )
28 ) Sloth bear - Melursus thibetanus ( see Sloth bear | ZooChat )

Intresting was to discover that a third carnivore species was placed in the Sloth bear - Corsac fox-enclosure. The original enclosure for the Asian small-clawed otters is completly gone and the animals ( I counted 4 this weekend ) are now together with the Sloth bears and Corsac foxes .
Another new thing for me was that the Californian sea-lions are now on the big lake and during the boat-safari one was jumping around the boa

This weekend it was Blijdorp - Rotterdam which should give my list a boost but of the potential 8 new species, I only saw 4.... :(. ( I guess I have to return on another date this year ;) ).

29 ) Raccoon - Procyon lotor ( see Raccoons | ZooChat )
30 ) Arctic fox - Alopes lagopus ( see Arctic fox | ZooChat )
31 ) Polar bear - Thalarctos maritimus ( see Polar bear | ZooChat )
32 ) Fishing cat - Prionailurus viverrinus ( see Fishing cat - sleeping | ZooChat )

Missed species :
Kit fox - through the building-activities at the Oceanium, I could't check the indoor-enclosure and in the outdoor-enclosure I couldn't find it.
Eurasian otter - In the enclosure the were some Golden eyes ( ducks ) so don't think these will share an enclosure with otters.... Anybody who knows what happened with Rotterdams otters ( death, to another collection , behind the scenes ??? ).
Maned wolf - again very good in hidding in their well-planted enclosure ( not the first time I didn't see them )
Pallas' cat - Another species normaly very good in hidding itself and also on this visit they managed it to keep out of sight :(.

Carnivore species kept at Blijdorp which I had already seen in other collectios this year and saw also on this visit : Serval, Lion, Meerkat, Spotted hyena, Red panda and Californian sea-lion.

Carnivore-species kept at Blijdorp which I had already seen earlier this year at other collections but didn't see on this visit :
- Sumatran tiger - we skipped this enclosure because the persons I was with, wanted to see some other animals
- Yellow mongosse - same as for the Sumatran tiger
- Amur leopard - another of the species which is very good in hidding and we didn't see it this time.

@Ggrarl: You cannot list different races/subspecies, only species. Also your list should be "continuous", as in; if you've seen different carnivores at Forth Worth and Dallas; your list should be as following (I also removed the double entries for you):

Especially lucky given the fact the exhibit in question was quite literally hidden behind a snack stand and thick bushes :p

Bloody hell, I knew it was tucked away but didn't realise it was that far off the beaten track! :D I take you went fore-warned and with a bit of knowledge about this enclosure? ;)

I knew it was near the main entrance, but not precisely where - as such I completely and utterly missed it initially :p further into the zoo I found an empty exhibit under construction which was labelled as being for the species, so I feared they were off-display. Some hours later, on completing our circuit of the zoo and returning to the main entrance in order to pop to the toilets before having a last revisit of one or two enclosures, the angle of our approach meant we happened to get a view behind a snack stand next to the toilets..... and noticed a cage in among the bushes :p

On a hunch, we walked behind the stand and found a little cage and indoor exhibit for Himalayan Palm Civet with both individuals sunbathing on a platform :p The other exhibit we saw, it turns out, will be a new enclosure for these individuals.

So we actually nearly missed them!

@TeaLovingDave I stand by the lucky in my earlier statement! :p

I have now uploaded photographs of the exhibit, and the snack/drink stand which conceals it:
