Round-eared elephant shrew in the Desert house, but I didn't see it.

It really is, definitely one of my favourite places to visit, not just as a zoo but also as somewhere that is great to just spend some time wandering around. The fact that it has a fair few unusual species just adds to the delightful nature of the place. :)

You know what's even more unbelievable - I didn't see my first Red Ruffed Lemur of the year until the middle of September! :eek:
 
By my own calculations, we have seen 95 relevant animals between us this year, of which 20 of them have been seen by at least ten people here. Of these, the most commonly sighted is the Red-Necked Wallaby (which doesn't surprise me) with 26 sightings, with second place being a tie of 21 between the Asian Elephant, Linneaus' Two-Toed Sloth and Red Kangaroo...and the Giant Anteater comes after them with 19 sightings, if you're interested.

Well I've just realised that I haven't seen a few obvious species and they are on the agenda in the next few weeks. The challenge is still alive! ;)

Thanks to this I've realised I'm yet to see a Red Kangaroo and there's a collection I'm going to soon that has them... Nice one! :D

Yeah, I'm interested. :) I don't even know what the leader board looks like, let alone what species we've all seen... :p
