You seem to still be consistently posting the same errors over and over again, even reversing corrections you've already made (such as putting the sifaka back as Endangered).

Also, Atelopus sp. are not poison dart frogs..

I would really appreciate it if you put a little more effort into maintaining a corrected list. I understand the lists can be difficult to keep track of at times, but I you've been corrected and corrected yourself on things and then just either not fixed them, or been gone back after correcting them. @ZooBinh and I would like to not have to correct your listings with every post...

Adding on here, Blue Poison Frog is the same species as Dyeing.

I'd like to piggyback off of Thylo's message here, and though this isn't directed towards Leaf specifically, it's directed towards the challenge and all its participants this year as a whole. Let's *all* be very much mindful of the way we track our progress, as last challenge there were a few members who consistently had issues with the way they posted their progress and quite honestly it was semi-frustrating at times to meticulously go back through the posts and verify every single detail, especially when I was only checking in every few months or so. I don't believe this is too much to ask, just don't be careless. Like Thylo has stated earlier in the thread:

If we're doing this, though, I'm not going to hold myself or @ZooBinh to having to work extra hard to police everyone. If anyone clearly is adding species ambiguously and ignores a warning, we're likely going to just stop tracking your score as opposed to continuously egging on about it. I trust everyone here, though, to know well enough when something needs more clarity!

While I understand this statement was in reference to a specific aspect of the challenge, I think it's fair to say that it could apply to the challenge as a whole, too. It is not fun to correct someone for adding an extra species, and have them continue on without correcting their mistake, and then have to go back every while to figure out what the incongruency between your data and what is on the thread is :p.

No one is obligated to participate, so if these rules and decisions on what counts and what doesn't isn't for you, then I'm sure you'll have much more fun playing something else. Let's just all do our part and check our information to make sure it's correct, so that no one has to do more work than they need to :). It's all about having fun.

To add on to this, while some of us, like myself, enjoy the complexity of these challenges, and like keeping track of the wide array of species required, for people who may not want to deal with the added complexity, Europe and North America both have much simpler challenges this year for those people looking to compete in a challenge but unsure about the difficulty of this year's global challenge. The point of these challenges, as @ZooBinh mentioned, is for everyone to have fun keeping track of animals seen at zoos this year, and I'd encourage anyone overwhelmed by this challenge's complexity to perhaps choose a regional challenge to compete on instead, or in addition to if one is inclined for additional challenge fun (unfortunately for our Oceanic, Asian, African, and South American members, no such thread exists- perhaps since it's a major continent for Zoo Chatters an Oceania Zoo Chat Challenge should be pursued in future years ;))

@ThylacineAlive It has come to my attention that Extinct Roach has not been formally classified by IUCN as EW, although it is completely extinct in the wild and does survive only in captivity.

So the species technically does not qualify for Second Chance Red List Challenge, although if IUCN did asses the species they would classify it as such.

So can I count it, or do I need to find a new extinct in the wild species that actually is "Extinct in the Wild"?

Another Saturday, another zoo!

Upon further investigation, I was able to confirm that the Cyclura iguana on exhibit at For Worth is not, in fact, a Grand Cayman blue iguana ( C. lewisi) but is rather an Anegada rock iguana (C. pinguis). The Cyclura I saw today, however, was a genuine Grand Cayman blue.

I finally sat down to update my master list for the challenge, and I found that I had forgotten to update some totals along the way! In doing so, I found that I actually completed the Usborne's Scavenger Hunt Challenge at the Gladys Porter Zoo last weekend! With that, I have actually completed 10/29 challenges, with 12/16 currently in-progress.

(While it does not affect my totals in any way, just the way I personally like to play the game (with as a few repeating species as possible), I also found that I forgot to replace the Pere David's deer as a place holder in the Exotic Deer challenge with the brow-antlered deer (Rucervus eldii) when I got to their pasture at Aggieland.)

Firs zoos this year and I am ready to join :) I will try to avoid mistakes, but it is going to be challenging, so please correct me.
