@twilighter - double check it for me but I think you have listed leopard cat twice.

Indeed I did. Assuming that Leopard cat at Singapore Night Safari represents the Sunda species and differs from the Amur species at Chemnitz. If you mean that SNS Leopard cat is hybrid and is not eligible to be counted separately, I will remove from the total. No problem :)

Nope, ignore me, I was unaware of the split.

Why are you assuming Sunda and not Mainland?

Why are you assuming Sunda and not Mainland?

Yes. Now diving deeper into the case and looking at the both species distribution and the appearance of the animal in question, I believe that I incorrectly counted it as a Sunda Leopard Cat. I will remove it from my total and hope to see an undisputed one this year :)

Over the weekend, I visited the Elmwood Park Zoo and the Turtle Back Zoo. Elmwood gave me the last big cat I was missing (Jaguar, which I missed at Philadelphia) as well as my 2nd deer credit for the year. Turtle Back gave me a galago and a frog. Unfortunately, I took an L at Turtle Back when their Gray Kangaroos where no-shows.

New species and facilities since my last update are in bold. Each species is only counted once.

No oryxes, just gazelles and allies, dik-dik, steenbok, klipspringer, and impala for antelope — Antilopinae in its “traditional” sense, if you will, or Antilopini, Oreotragini, and Aepycerotini now, based off of what was established early on in the thread.

I do not believe domestic forms (domestic reindeer and yaks, European mouflon, etc) have historically counted in previous challenges? So they likely would not count here either? (@ZooBinh) I, personally, did not include the reindeer I saw in Cleveland in my count. That would raise the question of the validity of Cretan wild goats for this challenge for our European friends as well.

None of the apes or Lorisidae count, either, so no bonobo, siamang, pygmy slow loris, etc.

I was not planning on returning to SeaWorld until after the new jellyfish exhibit opens; however, a day with nothing to do and the draw of the two new species that have gone on exhibit recently (plus a surprise third species -- the Brandt's cormorant!) were enough to get me back through the gates... And to an even 200 in this challenge :p
