Great list @Hugo28 ! The Leopard Cat at Prague is Palawan subspecies and belongs to the Mainland Leopard Cat species, not to the Sunda Leopard Cat :) Palawan is borderline for the two species, but heaneyi is considered part of the P. bengalensis, which been introduced by humans.
Thanks twilighter! I didn't know! I've looked into my complete list and found that I didn't see P. bengalensis in one of my other zoos, so changing the species doesn't change my total number!

Dierenpark Amersfoort (30-12-2024)

2. Woylie (Bettongia penicillata)

Aotidae
2. Gray-handed night monkey (Aotus griseimembra)

Crocodilia
10. Dwarf crocodile (Osteolaemus tetraspis)

Anura

Total: 184 species

Good morning/evening/afternoon Zoochat, and happy (almost) New Year! Bit of a very quick and impromptu announcement, but I thought I'd pop in to say that I am closing off submissions as of now in order to get the final tallies in before the new year (as well as the new thread). I hope you've all had an amazing year, and I'll see you very soon for the last post. :)

P.S. Some of you had some repeat/ineligible species in your tallies, so your actual numbers will be reflected in the final counts that I will post. None of these occurrences have had enough impact to change placements yet, so I won't be listing them out as I would have done throughout the year.

Excited to see the results and participate in this year's challenge. I had a fun time participating even though I saw a small amount of animals. My predictions for the top 3 are @CGSwans, @Kudu21 and @twilighter but I'm amazed how many species everyone saw.

So…you know how awards shows always occur several months after movies or records are released? I’m going to borrow that as a poor excuse for why I’m finally releasing the results of last year’s challenge now…:confused:

In all seriousness, I take full accountability for this. I’ve been juggling lots this year, and unfortunately the time hasn’t allowed for me to prioritize being activity on the forum until recently. My sincerest apologies.

Thank you for the final stats @ZooBinh! Congratulations to @CGSwans and @Kudu21 for the great year!
