10. Rhombic Egg-eating Snake Dasypelits scabra
11. Banded Egg-eating snake Dasypeltis fasciata

This collection also holds Gan's Egg-eating Snake Dasypeltis gansi, but I did not see it. Dasypeltis snakes are housed on 3 vivaria behind the Gidgee Skinks and all three vivs are visible from the public pathway.

Not an addition to my score, but a rather frustrating story.

Yesterday I visited Telford Exotic Zoo hoping to see my first Kenyan Sand Boa. I did not. ZTL lists 4 snake species held in the collection. The only one labelled was False Water Cobra and I did not see any.

I believe I am fated never to see Kenyan Sand Boas. The last three collections I have visited which are listed as having them did not. I have one left to try. Hatton Adventure World.

Telford Exotic Zoo has a small museum collection of fossils and evolution. The man in front of me saw a Dodo and proudly told his companinons that Dodos became extinct during the last Ice Age.

I saw them at Prague recently if you’re willing to make the short journey ;)

??. Lake Chapala Garter Snake (Thamnophis eques)

I'm not 100% sure on the last one. I did see a snake (it's the third one from the left as you enter the reptile house from the path leading from the reindeer), but there was no information sign. I picked the one that most closely resembled what is listed on ZTL, but if anyone knows better, please let me know.

The sand boa almost didn't make the list. I asked a keeper about it and she kindly got her out of the viv so I could see her and photograph her, later I was invited to hold her which was great. Just before I left I went for a last look at the reptile section, the sand boa was out and about. I was so pleased I was able to add it to my total.
