The finale two California zoos in the race to win go head to head for a spot for the grand finales with miscellaneous mammals and birds as the categories. Both places have exceeding Australian zones, and LA has a solid bird collection, while San Diego has the renowned Scripps, Owens and Parker aviaries plus the newer Africa Rocks aviary.

I think there's an argument to be made that LA wins in miscellaneous mammals, but San Diego clearly dominates bird-wise.
