Friday 13th. - 'Icebreaker' from 6:00pm., at The Mall pub, 66 The Mall, Clifton, Bristol BS8 4JG - 10 minutes walking distance from Bristol Zoo.
Saturday 14th.
8.45 to 9.30am. Access to tables and entry to the venue. This can be directly from College Road into the Clifton Pavilion at the side of the zoo.
(Parking is available in the zoo's car park opposite)
10.00am. Official opening of ZooHistorica 2013
1.00pm. Official tours / afternoon in the zoo. Trial of beta version of Bristol Zoo's new zoo history smartphone app. - please bring along your internet-enabled smartphones or tablets!
**Through the afternoon a 'silent' auction of job lots of material will be
available to view and to make offers. This will involve placing a folded,
private written bid on the pile of material you are interested in**
6.00pm. Presentation (in English and German) of the new addendum to "What Zoos Can Do" by Anthony Sheridan.
6.30pm. Buffet meal (vegetarian option available) plus bar.
7.30pm. Zoo Quiz for Conservation - entry £1 per person, teams of 2 - 4 persons, with a prize for the winning team.
8.30pm onwards. 'Golden Auction', in the traditional style, of rare and interesting items. Preceeded by a historical presentation of Bristol Zoo's guidebooks by Sarah-Joy Maddeaux and Andy Flack.
Sunday 15th.
10.00am. 'Wild Place' - Bristol Zoo's new attraction [Bristol BS10 7TP]
2.00pm. Slimbridge, tour and presentation.
