This was posted on the zoo's facebook page yesterday:

A Taronga Western Plains Zoo Keeper was accidently bitten on the tip of the thumb during a routine training session with a Black Rhino yesterday afternoon. The Keeper was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital for treatment, and the Zoo continues to monitor his wellbeing. The Rhino is a gentle young female that was a little too eager to get to her food reward.
