I have my first interview as a zookeeper at a small AZA zoo scheduled in just a few days! It will be a great "starter zoo" for my eventual goal to be an exotic nutritionist. While I have extensive knowledge in handling large and, sometimes, unruly domestic animals, my exotic experience is limited.
What sorts of questions should I be prepared for? Doing a bit of research, I saw one question that was "What would you do if the Malayan Tiger escaped?" Wouldn't I be taught certain protocols for the more dangerous situations?
What would be appropriate attire? I was thinking a polo representing my alma mater, khakis, belt, and my boots that I wear for ranch work (they are still newer and look decent). I have the full suit, but that seems a bit inappropriate for this job.
Anything else I should bring? Of course my resume and identification, but anything beyond that?
Thank you all in advance!
