A few updates from Zoo de Barranquilla's FB page:
- five (3.2) Blue-billed Curassows hatched at the zoo across the months of May and June. This is a first-time breeding success for the zoo after several years of trying. Despite being a Colombian-wide programme among the zoos, they are only the second zoo in the country to breed this species. A significant achievement.
- an Andean Bear died during a medical procedure. He initially arrived at the zoo in 2017.
- a Brown Spider Monkey was born earlier in the year. The Black-headed Spider Monkeys also had a birth in 2022.
