Zooman Mini European zoo tour 2015

Did you notice the seed dispersal display in the central area of the spiral staircase? I hadn't seen it before.

Yes we definatley noticed the display of falling leaves, one fell out and kids collected it. I however did not get that it was about seed distribution rather than just falling leaves now on closer inspection yep seed pods!

devilfish;885530 Did you make it to any other nearby attractions in Rome?[/QUOTE said:
Went to the Colleseum WOW!
Trevi fountain closed for repairs did not visit.

Had lunch and afternoon tea with distant family who now live in Rome.

What we did notice is the amount of poverty in the general population and what really stood out was the middle class poverty, a very sad state of affairs in Italy ATM.

Monkey Park Israel

Have to say this place has definitely seen better days! Spent 1.5 hours on a really hot day with a couple of kids who really just wanted to be in the air conditioned car playing mine craft!

The enclosures while looking tired are still mostly very functional and the majority are definitely above average in size.

Highlights were the walk through squirrel monkey enclosure huge and the vegetation was abundant. Interestingly a moated enclosure for black capped capuchin is included in the enclosure.

Viewing platform of angolan colobus monkey enclosure. This enclosure unfortunately steps down from viewing platform so you are looking down on enclosure, the plus is that it contains a large enclosure with abundant climbing and shade structures. There was also a family group with young of at least 15 animals.

Several exhibits used the same barrier of water moat and electric fencing a very cost effective and attractive option. It was a shame that all enclosures were low on water showing the black plastic.

Very small Patas Monkey enclosure, maybe these monkeys can jump a long way and not suited to moated enclosures?

White faced Saki exhibit.

I am assuming that this enclosure is far superior to where the animal came from Lab or pet trade.....
