A Northern talapoin was born earlier this year at Zoopark Zajezd 
.
.Where did they get their stock from? Private breeders or wildcaught specimens?
Hard to tell. They came in year 2014 as 1-year old animals, but their origin is not mentioned.
The zoo built a simple pen for European tortoises near dromedaries. It has 3 sections - for Marginated, Hermann´s and Greek tortoises.
The new Latin American house is not fully completed yet, but the zoopark already moved their tamarins into its outside aviaries (because main season started and they didnt want them to sit empty). On show are currently - golden-headed lion tamarins, white-headed marmoset, common marmoset, golden-handed tamarin and white-lipped tamarin (this species has fresh twins). When house is 100% completed (circa August), it will also host wild guinea pigs, three.banded armadillo, Chacoan maras, red-footed tortoise and maybe more.

The park succesfully hatched several Spiny chameleons ( Furcifer verrucosus ) .

After a visit to the Zoopark last month, I can now give an up-to-date list of chameleon species that are currently being kept. Due to the short lifespan of chameleons , species come and go all the time, but this is the species list as of april/may 2023;

After this visit I was able to add 10 new species and 1 new subspecies of chameleon to my list!

Zoopark Zájezd has bred a yellow-crowned gonolek, a first-time breeding success in a European zoo.

Maybe a first Czech breeding, but Leipzig and Walsrode have bred this species multiple times.

As I'm aware, It won't be a new aviary, but the one where Geoffroy's marmosets used to be.
So did Avifauna in the past.
New species on show is common yellow-toothed cavy (mixed in common marmoset exhibit).
Capuchinbirds are kept off-show, they were imported on order for another holder and will leave soon.
The zoo owner still has open export quota left for different tropical bird species from Surinam so new imports are planned.
The last blue iguana is a male and will go on breeding loan to Austria soon. That means this species wont be kept any longer. The exhibit will be probably used for birds.
The long term plan of the zoo owner is to close the old part of the zoo (with lemurs, chameleons etc.) for public and expand instead the new areal (farm animals). New land was bought already including forest for this expansion, but open question is feasibility of construction of infrastructure (electricity, water, sewage...) on that land. So lets see what happens. The old part would in such case only be accessible for visiting keepers/potential animal buyers in guided tour.
