Will Ferrell's "Anchorman" film had many scenes shot inside the San Diego Zoo.

The Mighty Boosh: Series 1 :D

It is set inside a fictional zoo (the zooniverse) and the main characters are zoo keepers.

The TV series Buffy The Vampire Slayer featured one episode (season 1, episode 6) where they visited the fictional Sunnydale Zoo on a school excursion, and some of the students became "possessed" by Hyenas.

Do any of the older members remember animal magic on BBC1 with Johnny Morris and Terry Nutkins, Johnny filmed most of his reports from Bristol zoo, where he took on the role of a keeper.
My abiding memory is of him in the gorilla enclosure with Delilah (i think) and her handing him her baby.
Also a few years later on children itv there was a programme called animal express, which was based at the animal collections of San Diego and i think was presented by Joan Embury, the zoos ambassador.

Kiang, i'm only 16 but i grew up on old videos of animal magic! I loved it when i was a little kid :)

Kiang, i believe this is the animal magic clip you were referring to...

This episode was called The Pack. Sunnydale Zoo also featured in Shadow (season 5 episode 8), a short scene in the reptile house. The real location was Santa Ana Zoo.

Oh, an episode of Futurama showed the group (and planet express ship) visiting a zoo - it even showed a group of malayan tapirs!!

@ZooMania: That's it, that's the video I couldn't remember! Thanks
@CZJimmy: You don't know by accident which Futurama Episode, do You?

Thanks! Wasn't there one with Fry riding a Trex? And yes, Bender's Big Score-the Aquarium. And don't forget "Super"-Villain "The Zoo Keeper" in "Less Than Hero"...

The one with tapirs is the one where bender falls in love with the autopilot. I've got all the Box sets of Futurama and I can't wait until they release more!!
