Zoos that seem to be great on the outside but on the inside are just dirty and not so great.

Curious what zoos or aquariums seem to display themselves as animal havens but on the insides are totally different. For me, I think it’s the majority of animal theme parks in China

I feel like a lot of Japanese zoos have that same sorta thing.

Like I see pics from zoos in Japan and many of the exhibits for things like elephants would cause a hella ruckus here

What? That is not true at all. The Desert Dome could be argued to have a few below average exhibits, but all of Omaha's large exhibits (including the Desert Dome) are easily among the best zoo exhibits in the world.

More often than not, anything with "sanctuary" in the name isn't exactly as good as they claim to be. There are some good ones, but many 'sanctuaries' tend to have poor to outright bad welfare. About the opposite of how they're often promoted.

???? Have you not been to the zoo in the past few years? They have almost all been renovated into some of the best exhibits as far as those species go
