How are you looking up a collection?
If you're viewing it on the map (either from zoo index or radius search) it will only show English names, and they'll be arranged in the sequence of their German names. (I very seldom access information this way - search is much better)
If you just type (part of) the zoo name into the search box you will get a list with both English and scientific names, as JR describes.
The button I mentioned changes the names in the species menu (so the list that comes up if you click Mammals, then an order and family).
