I'm surprised that no mention/announcement has been made yet about Abi the Lioness. The remaining lions do seem very sad at present.

At the end of the day it's life, and the zoo would be far better off if it announced such events early in order to prevent rumour and gossip spreading.
I think 'Abi' was about 14 - a good age for a Lion, wild or captive. .
Frankly, the gorilla deaths went OTT; wreaths and a book of condolences?
Will the baby sloth be on show? I have to say i've not seen a baby sloth haha!
I didn't see it in the rainforest section, but I wasn't looking for it to be honest, didn't know it was there at the time, I only saw one adult sloth in the main section though.
No, Oflory, that's the old sloth Prince, he was put there when the new male arrived as they didn't get on and Prince is happier with a bit of peace and quiet. Marilyn has always been in the main area.
As far as I know all London's ring tailed lemurs are male so not sure how that happened! Do you have any more clues?? Perhaps they quietly imported some already-pregnant females (like they did with the llamas).
