I did actually go today
I saw the sign for the pups born last October, which made me realise I'd jumped to the wrong conclusion. I saw them in July, but didn't realise how young they were at the time; boy they grow up quick!

I didn't notice until I looked at my efforts from yesterday, that the little lad has a couple of nasty looking scars on his head
It seems Mjuku is still caring for both then, despite someone saying Effie had recently reclaimed her son. Those look like the bite marks from canines to me.....I didn't notice until I looked at my efforts from yesterday, that the little lad has a couple of nasty looking scars on his head
Effie definitely had reclaimed him, I heard this directly from a keeper. Perhaps he got these injuries in the scuffle when Jukie reclaimed him.
Effie and Mjukuu were sharing him in some photos taken this week.
Updates from a quick visit this afternoon
Panther Chameleon enclosure in the lemur area has been refurbished, doesn't appear to be inhabited at present
Marilyn the sloth has had another baby. There was a little drama as I watched, when it fell from her back as she was feeding, and lay on the floor without moving for a good few minutes. Thankfully some keepers were on the scene to quickly hook it back on mum (after giving it a weight check for good measure)
The make and female okapis are sharing their full enclosure
Some new signs have gone up in Moonlight World telling visitors not to use flash or torches. I've seen people down there using smartphone torches before, good to see it hasn't gone unnoticed by staff

I hope this means Oni may have a baby soon. Both okapis have been very interested in one another.
Thank god for that! No wonder the pottos, bushbabies, slender lorises and (until recently) the cloud rats were all so shy! Torches and noise down there bug me so much.

Having known and liked Tim May for a number of years, I very much enjoyed your calling him "bro"! I'm not sure that Tim is a very "bro"ish sort of a chap, but there you go....
Incidentally, I thought it interesting that the above link stated that the Snowdon Aviary was also known as the Northern Aviary.
The ZSL Annual Reports for 1962, 1963 and 1964 refer to this structure as the Northern Aviary but I’ve not heard it called that for more than half-a-century.
The narrow-striped mongoose have produced offspring!
