Was just going to post that the Okapi House was closed at the weekend (integration of the Duikers perhaps?) but this date for the Lions is great news to hear :)

I was at the zoo today, still no sign and still unsure where they will be on show, some people have suggested in the Rain Forest area. I can only assume that they are in their quarantine period but not sure how much longer they have to stay in quarantine.

I suspect they'll go in the Roundhouse, but who knows?! Can't wait to see them... And the long-expected duiker.

Yes, I suppose that the Roundhouse could be a possible home, at the moment there seems to be 1 Gentle Lemur living there. The Okapi house was still closed so it maybe that the duiker is in there but off show

There were 2 gentle lemurs in roundhouse last week. Another 2 moved from the Lemur walk thru enclosure back into the Casson sharing the armadillos enclosure.

So the unused show areas currently I think are
The first enclosure as you enter the Clore from the lemur walk thru ..Previously the gentle lemur.
The rainforest enclosure that previously had theGeoffrey Marmosets.
One smallish enclosure inside the Casson that last had a meerkat Opposite the larger enclosure that has the 2 meerkats.
The second enclosure in the Komodo dragon area.
Plus whatever becomes available once the Land of the Lions building works completes

im hopefuly going at the weekend weather dependent zootierliste also shows them as having asiatic lion again hopefully im guessing the new pride

By all means visit London Zoo this week end but there are no lions at the moment. The zoo is developing a brand new exhibit called Land of the Lions, unfortunately it doesn't open until 25 March, when there should be 3 asiatic lionesses and 1 male asiatic lion. Have a look at ZSL website for further information

When I when the London Zoo Last October, The zoo looked Like it was Getting crowded, and With the New Land Of the Lions Opening In March 2016, I will Be even more Crowded.
Why Don't London zoo Buy or Make More land so they can have Even More Enclosures or areas, They are in Regents park and that park is huge, if they Bought more land of Regents park then they could extend the zoo and display the zoo With different areas, including Africa, Rainforest, Even More a Arctic Part of the zoo with the reindeer and different animals like Polar Bears
.
That would be amazing

Nice thought, but as far as I am aware, Regents Park is a Royal park and therefore not for sale. There has been talk occasionally that ZSL could lease an extra 10 acres from the Royal Parks, but as to whether this would happen or not is another matter.

London Zoo is in 36 acres and there is no hope of expansion. It is a shame but that is reality
