They seem to have awoken from slumber. It would be nice if developments accelerate Whipsnade's resurgence as a major and enticing animal Collection worth seeing.
Did you see they lost a zebra foal? Anyone got anymore info ? As they forgot to say they lost Margaret the baby giraffe who they pts following leg break.
Me also.BUT the reptile house announcement is, personally, something to look forward to.
And about time too! They seem to have awoken from slumber.
I agree but at least it will increase stock levels over the current levels. And lets hope no more culling eh?I don't think these can be regarded as significantly increasing Whipsnade's stock lists in any way,

Whipsnade’s Chief Operations Officer has released some of the zoo’s plans for the forthcoming year:
Sulawesi macaques
New reptile/amphibian area plans (2023)
3 new male Cheetah imminent
Future lion plans
More catering options
I should have added "would" in there as this is what I meant to say. While the ex London Sulawesi macaques (making one less species at London) will be an additional species, proposed new Lions and Cheetahs are only going to be replacements, not new species. I don't think these can be regarded as significantly increasing Whipsnade's stock lists in any way, which have fallen dramatically in recent decades and sadly are unlikely to ever return to their previous levels.
Whiosnade need to bring in another younger bull rhino. How many white rhino do they have here now?
Do they still have Fahari (0:1 born 2017 WMSP)
They currently have 1.6 including calf Nandi. Unfortunately, until a couple of months ago it was 1.7, but Clara passed away a few months ago.How many white rhino do they have here now?

Any news on other younger female rhino pregnant or mated? They currently have 1.6 including calf Nandi. Unfortunately, until a couple of months ago it was 1.7, but Clara passed away a few months ago.
Yes Fahari is still there, she is quite easy to spot as she is still considerably smaller than the others. Obviously larger than Nandi though!
In a few years yes, as I believe he is into his thirties now.Whiosnade need to bring in another younger bull rhino.
I'm sure there is every possibility that one of the other females has been mated too. So hopefully we might see another calf in the next couple of years.Any news on other younger female rhino pregnant or mated?
Plus Fahari (2017), as mentioned above.Their group of cows: Mikumi 1990, Bertha WB 1998, Tuli 2007, Jaseera 2011 and Nandi.
For Bertha, I think, her window may have closed at over 20 and never having calved (I think). Fingers crossed though as mating implies fertility and cyclicity in a cow.
The name Fahari does not ring a bell with me. Does not mean it cannot be so ..., but I have a fair idea which is where yet.
Nsiswa was wildborn around 1988 in South Africa. So, he is getting on 33+ now.Plus Fahari (2017), as mentioned above.
Do you know what year Sizzle (Nsiswa) was born? Is he still of mating age?
He was born in 1988, and arrived in 1991.Plus Fahari (2017), as mentioned above.
