Visited again today, partly to see the bits I missed on Wednesday. I saw 2 Tomistoma - confirming that there is sufficient space at the back of the pool for one of them to hide. Other observations worth recording: 2 bush dog pups were out of the burrow, 2 green aracari chicks were out of the nest and the tarictic hornbill female in DinD has broken out of her nest since Wednesday - I saw one chick (but there may be more).

I need to get my eyes checked then, only saw one on Thursday, but saw at least two of the Bornean river turtles.

Saw this in the Chronical, not the best of papers or facebook news pages. Nothing really new in the article than what's been mentioned before.

"From immersive forests to expansive grasslands, these zones will reflect the zoo’s vital conservation work in the field worldwide."

It should be noted that all this will happen within the current zoo perimeter, and not break any new ground.

On reading this article on Chesters website I must say these plans do interest me I'm always a fan of new animals so gorrilas and Pygmy hippos would be welcome additions to the zoo, especially the later which I am very fond of.
