Am I right this is one - if not their - of their first radiated tortoises hatched?

Indian Gharials that hatched last year at Protivin/CZ has been assigned to new holders. 3 of them will go to Jersey soon. Youngsters are now 65-70 cm long and their sex can´t be determined yet.
VERY nice news indeed!

Crocs of the World for preference - they only need Ganges Gharial to have the full set of gracile-jawed crocodilians, which would make for a very good educational opportunity regarding discussion of parallel evolution in three distinct evolutionary lines (the two Gharial genera, Mecistops, and Crocodylus).

Ah, that makes sense. I suppose that is a bit more gracile than a couple of other species I was thinking of; for a moment I thought some exciting arrivals at CotW had passed me by!

Unfortunately I received this message on Facebook after asking if they were to be on-show:

Jersey have posted a picture of a footprint from one of their newest residents.
Looks Suid to me- I can hardly dare hope it's the first species that popped into my head...

On YouTube they have revealed that 0.3 Visayan warty pigs have arrived. 0.2 from Newquay and 0.1 from Bristol.
